SportsFiends.com is a joint venture between two long-time friends both of whom are not just avid sports fans but are in fact sports fiends. The two founders, are average sports fans in their late 20's that are unsatisfied with the tired reporting and editorializing that dominate the sports media world. SportsFiends.com was developed as a location for fans to author articles, do amateur reporting, and discuss sports in a professional format with insight unavailable in the modern media. SportsFiends.com is not just another sports website. It is a place to exercise free speech, participate meaningfully in cutting edge sports debates, and put esoteric knowledge to use in productive ways. No longer will the so-called experts dominate the analytical market. Instead, every individual has the opportunity to change the way sports are analyzed, evaluated, and ultimately played.

In this vein, we are recruiting people like you who are interested in writing for the site. One of the goals of SportsFiends.com is to create a resource to aspiring writers and to help build an active community of interested fans. Philosophically, we want to "Bring Sports to the People" beyond what is currently offered by the dominant media hierarchy.
